Default Crankcase Pressure monitoring

Hi all,

Having done my homework, I have understood that I should log my crankcase pressure and look for spikes. I have added the channel to the Motec and here is a screenshoot of my first outing of the season. (constant around 0,3 bars - 4,35 PSI with a spike to 0,75 bars - 10,88 PSI)

Should I be worried about the spikes or are they neglectables ? If so, what kind of spikes should be of worry ?

Car is my 2008 997 Cup with less than 40 hours since the last motor rebuild.

Thanks,

Cédric

I'm skeptical that those are really spikes. All of your data traces have spikes, and some would not be rational - or your gear changes and foot work is very fast! I suspect you have a short or other issue in the wiring.

Any hint on where to begin the search ?

I would contact Joe Hullett (Motec Joe). His email is overboost@earthlink.net.

I'd check the grounding of the MoTeC ADL first

Default Crankcase pressure

I think Jim is correct. Your crankcase pressure should look more like this

Minor Hijack - where does Porsche install the crankcase pressure sensor on the later cars? What sensor is used? I want to add one to my 00R....
