WTB: UTC connector for ADL (1) Dash / MoTec M84
apologies for the noob question - just been offered a setup and I know very little about
the logistics. I understand the connector isn't standard USB on these older ADL/M84
... anyone selling the connector or can I wire one up/have a plug made
reasonably easily to download the Dash and ECU data to my Mac (running Parrallels)?

Wow, you are really begging for troubles !
The "ADL1" communicates with a PC via round CAN connector. I think that there was initially a parallel to CAN cable, but now, with the parallel interface disapearing in the PCs, Motec sells and USB/CAN adaptor, named "UTC" IIRC.
I don't know if the Motec driver will work on a Mac (which will have to run some Windows, for sure).
Specific hardware drivers are often an issue with virtualization.

right thanks Cid - I've seen those. Will search for one.
So far software seems to be working on Mac running "Parallels" windows.
Any others who can confirm that will remain the case?
... again thanks Cid - seems I need a UTC - anyone?
