I'm not even a former scrut, but I am a rule-abiding GT3 Cup owner, and I note this over-riding rule:

In the "except as provided below", there is no provision for changing shifters, cables, and whatnot.

I agree, might be legal in stock classes as there is a rule allowing shifter change, but not GTC. If the original shift assemblies become non-available, the rule might be added.

Spoke with the Pirelli US Cup West, their stance was "if its not listed as an allowed mod, its not allowed"
ordered my replacement from PMNA

Hey Guys

I know it is allowed in most of the classes. I am just not 100% sure on one or two classes. I have made contact with the organizations regarding this matter. I hope it will be allowed and don't really see a reason why it won't be. It doesn't give the car any more horsepower but then I can't answer for them. As soon as I know I will let everyone know.

Dan

Any updates on PCA GTC3 legality? I was told second hand that PCA was considering this as a legal change for GTC3 cars next year.

I've bumped this old thread as I'm trying to figure out what the green and white cables are considered in the first post of this thread. I am trying to figure out if my car has the cup cables installed. I found the same green and white cables in my 04 GT3 when I looked last night. I do have the 2010 997 shifter (metal bushings) for sure. I have seen cup cables in different colors, so am a bit confused. I found this thread this morning, so any help confirming identity of the (green, white) cables will be much appreciated. TIA
