Default BBS standard 996 wheel weights and alternatives for centerlock hubs

Does any one know the weight of the standard BBS 996 cup 18 x 9f and 18 x 11r wheels? I've been told somewhere between 22 and 24lbs?

I know Forgeline makes some cup style wheels that are around 19 and 20lbs cost approx 4k.

Are there any other alternatives for wheels on the 996 cup porsche motorsport centerlock hubs?

I'm also still looking for a used set of wheels in good shape for the above fitment.

THANKS!

Yep I'm waiting on pics and prices from you

I've seen some Fikse sets out there too so there are some good alternatives but from what I can tell they will likely be expensive unless used.

THANKS!

I love the various sets of Fikses that I've had. The problem is that you would probably have to drop $4K for a new set, and that is if you could get Turn3 to still honor their special. You might want to contact Thatcher (independentwheel.com) to see if he has a set. I remember him having a set of centerlocks but I don't remember the specs or if it was the 6 or 7 style centerlock.

Congrats on your purchase BTW! I was tempted to send you some details on my car but then I drove it again at Sears Point and am just not ready to part ways with it. Also, love the FD. Almost purchased one back in high school but then I came to my senses and realized that probably wasn't the best car for MN winters.

The cup rears are 24 lbs and the fronts are slightly less but not much. The 996 RSR Magnesium wheels are stronger and lighter than the cup wheels at ~18 lbs but they are costly.

I have a set of Fikse center lock wheels I'll sell for $2,700. They are lighter than cup wheels. Set up for street, 996 or 997 Cup.

Mark
