If you want HP the 3.8 is fine. The 4.0 is torque, as ZSA said.

Going from 3.6 to 4.0 will yield about 60 HP and 80 TQ

The benefits of both are gobs of torque for corner exit. If you are in WT/HP class 4.0 is the ticket and then just restrict.

I just drove against a 3.8 996 Cup and god did that thing just leap out of a corner.

THERE'S NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT!

I know how that feels, I enter T14 at Thunderhill with a 7.2 Cup and it's long gone after the exit and the car just kept pulling away ....

There is the rsr 4.0 and the grand am 4.0....different beasts.

I am 95% confident that the grand am piece is using the street 4.0 rs crank/pistons/rods with cup top end.
Thanks. Every time I think I understand the Metzger lineage I just confuse myself. Cheers.
