Default WTB: 2002-2005 Cup BBS Wheel Set

Well, I stand corrected!!! I had previously started a thread looking for early 996 Cup wheels thinking that the wheels on my 2001 Cup are the originals. I was corrected this morning when I talked with Todd Oppermann. Turns out that the car has the bigger brake calipers and thus is now running the later 2002-2005 996 Cup wheels. Thus, what I REALLY need are:

2 9x18 BBS Front, ET46 offset, 1" outer ring, 8" inner ring 996-362-136-97
2 11x18 BBS Rear, ET59 offset, 1.5" outer ring, 9.5" inner ring, 996-362-140-97

Apologies to all for asking for the wrong thing initially. I'll get better as I learn more about the car! Thanks to all.

Toby

Toby- if you don't mind the Grand Am 5-lug/CL combo version, Orbit Racing has a set for sale.

Thanks for the pointer. Will check with them and see. Initial preference would be to stay with CL's, but beggars can't always be choosers!

They CL-only sets are becoming harder and harder to find second hand...unless you want to pay $5300k+ for a new set. I'll keep an ear out for a set and pass along any info to you.

Well, I'd rather not pay the price for new wheels if I can avoid it. Thanks for any leads you may come across. It is much appreciated.

Jump on those 5 lugs if they're the scalloped E88's. They're several lbs. light than the center lock only versions and GTC3 legal....

Any idea what the price is?

Toby, I have a set of ATS motorsports centerlocks in stock MKII sizes. Currently with a set of old Michelin rains. they are the fan style you see on the R and RSR. Super light nice legal wheels. Id like to get BBS for my rains as I have parts....

J - I believe they are asking $3500, but don't quote me on that.

James Sofranas: I have to run the 9x18 (front) and 11x18 (rear) to be legal. If you have wheels that would work, please drop me a note.

J Richard - Do you have any pics of the ATS wheels>

Thanks to both of you for answering up. I will also check in with the Orbit Racing folks.

I have 2 sets of the 18x9 and 18x11 that I can put together with new seals and hardware for a 996 Cup.
I am working with Toby on a set as we speak.

Price would be $3K per set.

Email me directly with questions and details/pics at james@gmgracing.com.

I am aggressively pricing these 996 Cup spec wheels at $2K for the set.
Pricing reflective of simply needing the space.

James, Need some cup centerlocks

Running 240/640/18 and 280/680/18 yokes so these should work. Current wheels are 10's and 12's - would running 9-11's change anything setup wise I should worry about. Just really need a 2nd set.

Thanks, Eric
