Porsche Cup Driver announced Team USA scholarship candidate
Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge racer Sean Johnston was announced as a candidate for 23rd annual Team USA Scholarship. Team USA scholars will be awarded a fully-funded ride in England later this year to compete in one of three races in October and November.
Johnston began racing Porsche Cup cars in the IMSA development series after being invited to the GT academy finals, a competition that places the fastest gamers in the cockpit of a race car and allows them to race on a course. Johnston did exceedingly well and now holds Platinum Cup 1st place in the GT3 cup challenge.
