Default 996 Cup: New Tub - Re Shell info

If you would buy a 996 Cup car and the owner tells you it was re shelled, Would the I-Pass read out on the new VIN # show only a tub without the usual option codes, engine and gearbox info ? Or would I-Pass merge the new tub into the old specs of the car (so new tub info with old engine and gearbox numbers) ?

So long since I did a 996, last shell was gone in 2007 if I remember right (sure that we wrote off an old car in 08 at Spa because of that), but on the 997 you don't get a totally new VIN, surely it was the same on the 6. Same VIN and followed by a an A if I remember right (or B or C if you're really "good" at it). Did a reshell on a asian car a couple a years ago that they flew back to Germany that was on it's second shell already!

So, if it was done the proper way through Weissach, you should be able to see it on the car at least.

If you're unsure, PM me the VIN and I'll check it for you, if a shell ever was taken out on that VIN.
