Had a blast, the car has a TON of grip and the brakes are incredible.
Unfortunately, it did not pass the sound test so I had to idle down the back straight.
Tuning the car on the dyno next week, we'll see if we can get a couple more ponies out of her.

Did you get a db reading or just a flag? Curious how that setup did. Doug mentioned the grip and the braking, and that the car is an easy drive with the motec and ITBs. sounds like with a few tweaks it will have the power to match the grip and brakes and the cycle starts again...wash/rinse/repeat... Can't wait to see to go!

I rented the track so we set up a second meter adjacent to the airstrip. We got a db reading that was way above the allowed level, thus the idle along the back straight.
Thinking about POC enduro at Cal Speedway, but that is the weekend before Laguna.

VR, I'll take you up on that. A new to everyone track should make things interesting...Hoping it happens although can't imagine the cluster it will be at the track/paddock.

Dave, yea I've got to put some more seat time in between now and laguna. Any chance you guys are doing nationals at MidO? It was fun at miller...

I did not race NASA at all this year so no on Mid O.

I might be looking at Laguna in Aug with POC if I can get one of my cars quiet enough. PS i finally got through to PMNA, and they do not think that the pre silencers will get a cup quiet enough for AMP and could be sketchy for Laguna, so looks like back to the drawing board with Kent.

They have begun laying asphalt. I don't have an exact good-to-go date, but expect late September, followed by curing, testing, FIA inspections, etc. However, there is probably no way to get you on the track before November. I will be able to learn it due to some other work I will be doing with them. So I can help you guys with lines, set ups, etc in November. But likely can't get you on that track yourselves prior to that.

If that changes, I will advise Jim via email.

Dave, laguna in October, it's an unmuffled event, I'm back in the NE for most of June for work. August is a possibility. Wish we had better tracks around here...

VR, even a track walk or van ride would be useful with limited access. If this goes I'd fly out for a recon...don't think there will be any accurate sims out in time.

It's the same weekend of Rennsport IV last year, and GMG's Gobal Tuning event the year before. POC will have 1 run group of 35. I haven't received a straight answer as to who else will be there but I'm betting Pirelli Cup will have a run group and it's probably hosted by SCCA-SF. It's listed on Laguna's website as a SCRAMP open sound weekend- Oct 13-14....

You may want to try TOPP Racing in Cresson. If they don't have one they can probably point you in the right direction.

Yea I heard that too but since I'm not on the BOD this year my info limited. I was told POC committed to 1 run group of 35 with Franzie so we'll see.....

JR, I hope that happens i would love to sign up with POC for a double stint if the schedule will allows me to run 2 different cars. That would be a blast to go back to back and see the difference in lap times between the two cars.
