Default Hoosier Slicks-Fitment Issues

I am trying out Hoosier Slicks for the first time and after putting them on the fronts (250-650-18) are rubbing on the fender well when the wheel is turned. Camber is -3.32 and -3.34. Ride height is stock. Has anyone else had fitment issues with these tires?

Check their specs here...........

http://www.hoosiertire.com/rrtire.htm

and compare them to your old tire specs to see where they are wider/taller etc.

I'm running them, but with 3.6 both sides. Not having rub problems. These are 10mm wider (=5mm more on each outer edge) than Michelin or Yokes. They're sticky but don't generally like camber much (weak shoulders) so keep your eye on the cords, although at 3.3 you're running pretty mild settings. I'm at 85/88mm front ht and 0-1mm toe in.

Bill by 'fender well' do you mean the black fender liners or the edge of the actual steel fender? A few thoughts.....
are they OEM BBS rims, could the fender liners have been changed out accidentially to stock not cup liners which are taller, and you can always roll the fenders if that's where it hitting. I run their 265's up front on 9.5 rims on my 996 (same fenders), but I've rolled them and carefully pulled them out a little to get clearance with 3.3 neg camber. It should work with the 250 tires on your 05' cup....

JR, it is hitting the edge of the steel fender. The wheels are OEM BBS. I am going to try to have the fenders rolled on Monday.

I ran them on my 997 cup with no issues. Could not fit the 305s in back though

Default For what its worth

I heard that Hoosier is sending several sets of new compounds to Porsche in Germany for testing to try to resolve the sidewall issue.
At least there is hope!!

250-650 yokohamas rubbed on the inner steel lip on my car as well with 3.8 camber. I changed to 230s (no 240 avail) but have no mounted them yet. Hope the 245 Hoosiers slicks I just bought fit!
