For the GTGP Challenge race, you would get 4.5 -5 hours of track time.
The Warm-Up race on Sat will be at approx 4pm and the Sun Main Race will be at 3pm.

This is turning out to be " The Porsche" race weekend of the year.. Laguna Seca NO SOUND Restrictions.

Lets make this the Porsche shoot out of the year... Fastest Porsche earns bragging rights for the entire year.. NO more excuses cant run Laguna because of sound.. yada yada yada...

As an FYI the entire event is being covered by European Car Magazine and they have agreed to dedicate and entire issue to the event.. Not to mention Speed.com will be covering the event as well.
International press from around the world scheduled.. Total 911 magazine from UK and more..

 

This will be a good event for sure. How much of an advantage do you think you have over other shops with non-pro drivers?

It seems like this the time to call out shops that do not have there feet wet so to speak in pro events since this one happens to be open to anyone. Seems like the perfect event for GMG.

Not sure what you mean by "an advantage" as this is still an amatuer racing event but with a "Pro" format, i.e. no sound restriction, spectators, ticket sales, etc. And keep in mind, this is a 13/13 rules event as well.

GMG is another entrant like all the other teams but it's nice that the event is only 6 hours away from our shop.

And this is a Global Tuner GP event, not a GMG event. I am just helping to promote the event because it's such a great opportuntiy for racers to enjoy racing Laguna with NO SOUND Limits, not to mention almost 5 hours of track time.

GMG will have several amateur clients running in the race so we will have our full set up there and welcome all drivers to this event.

We should have cars from all over the country, mainly Porsches, and we hope it's the usual perfect fall weather for Monterey!

 

Just 4 weeks away from the event!
Entries are coming in strong and it looks like the Porsches will dominate the line-up!

Just got back from the PCA/Pirelli Drivers Cup race weekend at Miller and it was a blast......tons of track time with perfect weather.

Looks like several racers from this past weekend will be staying out west and heading to the GTGP so I was curious as to the head count from the Rennlist Group.........so who is going?

I know GMG is bringing 4-5 cars........

Mr Penske.....er Mr BGB Tecce........bring those 997 GS cars out to Laguna for this event! Pull all the weight out of them, install some GMG headers and put on some slicks........run it in the GT3 class against other GS type cars and WC GTS cars and you will not only be competitive, but you will have a blast!

I am sure you will be able to sell the cars at this event.......put Craig Stanton in one of them to show everyone how fast they are!

You keep saying that but no Continental Tire GS 997 is going to keep up with anything your customers have! I've seen some cars on the street with GMG stuff and they're full tilt boogie! While it's probably worth the long haul just to be able to run at Laguna uncorked with no sound limit, I have to stay at home and find out how we're going to make our GS Cayman keep up with the beasts that run in Grand-Am now. Good luck out there! If someone gets food poisoning call me, I seem to be quite fast around there, in the video game!

Your GS cars will not compete against Cup cars, you would compete against other Koni Spec GS cars and other like it..........step up and let's race!
