The 2009 Yokohama IMSA Patron GT3 Cup Tires are on sale and they only have about 2,000 sets. They changed the compound slightly for 2010 to accomodate the 1/2" wider rims. Originally $2,100. they're $1,500 now from Trackside Performance: http://www.tracksideperformance.com/

I'm told that Hoosier Porsche Cup tires do not fit on 997 Cup cars ?? The R80 front tires are a little wider than the Michelin and will touch the fenders. We can't have Michelins at the moment in Montreal and would have used these Hoosiers if they Work...

Good to know. I may try them then. Are you at the Glen this weekend ? I will ask a friend who is there to take a look at your car if you are. Any difference between model years for 997 ? Yours is a 2008 and mine is a 2009. My mechanic is convinced that it doesn't work and I don't know who to believe at this point...

Sorry I am not going to the Glen. The '06-'09 cup cars all have the same fenders as far as I know. We put blue tape on the fender the first time I ran and there was no rubbing. The tires were designed for our cars so they work great. You will also have more grip in front with the Hoosiers than the Michelins because they are wider. You can brake harder and turn at faster speeds. Check my website for a video of following Pat Kelly (one of the fastest cup car drivers in the country) at VIR where I gain a lot on him at the end of the back straight.

have you tried bob woodman http://www.bobwoodmantires.com/ or John @ www.jbracingtires.net
that's where I get all my tires. Pirellis work the best for my car.
