First drive, 993 Cup, NJMP yesterday
#17
Took the new (to me) Supercup to Lightning Circuit at the NJMP member day yesterday. If I'd been paying attention I would've gone to the Schattenbaum DE over on Thunderbolt!
My first drive in the car and it was fantastic. Like my old 911SC "D" car on steroids. Amazing ability to throttle steer, what a concept!
Everything worked great, thanks Peter Dawes for the prep. First time in a racecar with doors since 2004. Felt just great!

I was there and we had a wonderful weekend

Whoever runs similar lap times, I guess!
I've been out of racing since '04 and not re-entering now, I wanted the car mostly for it's collector appeal.
However, with the proximity of NJMP I'll run it in whatever I can easily fit in the schedule. It is vintage eligible and could run in SCCA GT-1, although judging by the T1 Corvettes that ran away from me on Saturday, it might feel pretty lonely.
