GTC3 - Race Prep Questions
Preparing for the 2009 Season - Two Questions re: a 2003 GT3 Cup.
1) With the Stock Recaro Pro-Racer Seats - is a Seat Back Brace required ?
I believe we have the FIA Spec # - but I'm not sure if there is a time limit
on this.
2) Roll Cage
- Does anyone have the Main Hoop Diameter (1.6" ?) / Thickness /
Material (High Strength Steel ?)
Thanks !

Bill,
On the side of the seat is the FIA sticker as well as the date (month / year) of manufacture. You do not need a seat back brace if the seat has been manufacturered within the last 6 years. After 6 years, you can continue to use the seat, however, you will need a seatback brace that meets the square inch requirements in the rule book which for your composite seat is 30 square inches with high density foam.
Your roll cage meets requirements because it is a factory approved Matter serial numbered cage. The tubing diameter is metric.
