An 09 Cup is way above your head! I suggest you look into a detuned street car.
NO, kidding of course! Absolutely get one, you'll love it. As you know, the only bummer will be the acceleration factor compared to your current car.
One other thing I suspect that you'll miss is the brake pedal feel in you car. The 997 has a bit of a numb pedal compared to some cars like the RSRs. (Doesn't your car have brakes similar in vein to the RSR?)
