Default 2009 Cup Car

This new car is fantastic. I went from a street GT3 to a new 09 Cup car. have spent alot of time with it on the track at Sebring and PBIR over the last number of weeks. I have just begun to understand just how much this car is capable of, you can't help driving with a huge grin under you helmet!
The spare package has 4 wheels and hardware, (no tires), the car comes with rain tires, frt and rear rotors and pads, front bumper assembly (painted with grilles, etc.), front lip spoiler, filters and belt, car cover, beacon for the lap times that feed into the complete MOTEC dash system.
As previously stated about the total cost involved; car, spares pkg (mandatory), air and ground freight, taxes and duties, initial car set up and your own personal instals, i.e. radio, chase cam, cool suite, fuel cel (if required), tires, etc.
All worth it!
If the overall cost is acceptable; this will be one of your greatest Porsche purchases!

Great to hear about your experience FL Porsche. How do the brakes feel? Did it take long to get use to downshifting properly with the sequential?

I have to toss in the option of a Cup S car since the budget seems much more doable (*if now any budget is*) compared to the RSR's and still outperforms the Cup car.

Since new ones are still on allocation and hard to get, there are also some used available with very few hours on them.

Cup S runs against the RSRs in PCA so not a good choice for over here.

How much faster is a 996 RSR than a Cup S? Leh won't be at every club race you go to...

What's the difference in a 996 RSR and a 997 Cup with a RSR motor?

This is complicated to compare. The Cup S and the RSR never really ran with competitive drivers at the same occasions. I have not seen any results at least. There's been some hybrid races, but regulations often changed the potential of each car.

But there a few 996RSR's that had a transplant to the 997 Cup engine instead of replacing them with the older RSR engines.

Out here the World Challenge 997's appear to be very competitive with 996 RSR's (on slicks, not the WC Toyos).
