Default Cup running costs?

Working on a budget for the coming VLN season and looking for detailed costs of running a 96 Cup.

I've got a rough idea how much a Manthey prepped and serviced effort would cost, but would welcome any other input.

Any ideas on competitive Cup seat prices? Looking for all in arrive and drive, fully insured.

PM or email if you want to keep things confidential...

Thanks in advance.

+1. Also looking for team seat, not have to be a 996 Cup. All is taken into account.

Similar to GMG we have seats we can rent in a Pro series. Ours is for the Rolex 24 coming up with a team that has won in the Rolex series GT class or for other select Rolex races in a 997.

VLN is very expensive because of tyres and when damage happens, it's usually big!

8 races should cost about Euros 100,000 + the car. This includes entry fees, fuel, hotel for your crew, a week to prep the car before the race, all consumables at the track, and a small rebuild at the end of the season.
A 996 costs less than others because 1) the gearbox is strong- as opposed to the sequentials that only do 15 hrs max and 2) you can get lots of parts 2nd hand for cheap.
Damage is on top and I've never run a week end for less than Euros 500 of damage... windscreen, a mirror, whatever... Usually, 10 to 12,000 Euros per week-end is in the ballpark.

Is this what you had in mind?

Manthey might not be the cheapest...

JM's figure sounds to be in the ballpark for a serious effort.

If you're running a complete season, acquiring your own car might be a cheaper option than just getting a seat if you can co-join with some other team for support.
I guess the rest is about how serious effort you're going for. A bit surprised to see this question coming from you though. Figured you'd be one to know or find out, if someone here.. Are you considering participating or rather offering seats for participants?

You are quite right. There are a few cowboys out there who will seriously undercut Manthey...

Remember that in racing more than in most places you get exactly what you pay for

I've done it arrived and drive and I've done it all "myself" with recruited mechanics and all in all, the prices are not that different if you work with the right guys. Either way, 10 to 12 K euros + car and damage is in the ball park...

It's very likely that some desperate guys who need to pay bills soon will offer great deals if you pay up-front. be careful of those

That sounds like fun. Too bad my left nut is not worth anything.
