Default 993 Cup Shift **** needed

After searching for months, to include PMNA who could not offer any assistance, I am trying to locate a 993 Cup shift ****. Probably the same one as a 964 Cup. Any leads would be appreciated - and if someone happens to have one laying aruond, consider it sold.

Or...if any of the 964 Cup guys have found an alternative, please share.

Unfortunately, no.

The street cars have a ****/boot combo. The 993 Cup, and Im pretty sure the 964 Cup, have a single rubber **** that attaches to the shift lever. Pic below:

I just went out to the garage and verified that the picture above is the same as my RSR. I thought that was a picture of my car at first, but then I saw the door skin on the passenger door and ruled it out! I looked for a part number on the ****, but to no avail. Have you tried Werks II?

Thanks for verifying...I did try Werks II...no dice. Kinda funny, such a simple little piece of rubber is so hard to find - I certianly didnt expect it to be easy, but I cant even find anyhitng that remotely resembles the factory piece.

The **** is the same on the street car, just have to carefully cut the stitching on the leather boot. If anyone upgraded their factory 993/964 **** they may sell you their original cheap. Good luck

I agree, its lever 964.424.015.08, the accompanying rod is 964.424.020.35

the **** & leather boot on the 993RS is 993.424.075.30(8YR) on the Cup & RSR they just removed the leather boot.

There is a simplified bellows that goes over the shift lever 964.424.141.00

Bill-

Just to clarify, I have the 993 RS Shift **** and it is not the same shape as the non-RS Shift ****, from a stock C-2.

The one I am looking for is more round in shape, and it certianly makes sense that it would be the same as the original **** **** with the leather removed. The RS variety isnt round in shape.

So all I need is a stock 993 shift **** and trim the leather away...correct?

You mention a "rod" above.....?

Rob,

Why not just treat yourself to one of Jeff Gamroth's shifters?

Those are nice! Looking more for the authentic look, however.

Did you get one, Matt?

Do you have the stock '95 **** or the one that looks like the 996 pictured above?
