Very similar in construction. I don't think I would make a huge distinction between the two. I've known BMW's to run JRZ's on one axle and Moton's on the other...it's not optimal, but they perform similar enough on dyno's I've seen that I'm not sure it matters.

I think that the opinion out there (mine included) is that the Motons are better build and last longer, requiring less frequent rebuilds. I have Motons on my car, and that is what I'd choose if I were to buy new shocks.

OT. Larry. I have to ask. What are you replacing the RSA with?

If it sells, right now nothing.
Hopefully when the economy picks back up again & things get straightened out a 996 cup, but that may be quite a ways off.

JRZ here and I know they have done wonders for my flying pig!
I would probably go with JRZ again however as I see Mike Levitas off and on (he did some adj on the car at a past clubrace) and he is an expert on them as he did a TON of the US R&D....

Echoing others, I thought I heard that the owners of each company were family and that they ran one of the companies together. Apparently, one of the owners just went off and started a new company. Not sure which one between Moton or JRZ was the original company.

I've always been told JRZ came first.
FWIW, I have had my Moton Clubsports for four years and have never had any leaking issues and have not yet needed to rebuild them. I'm not sure the same can be said for JRZ's.

I bought my JRZ doubles in 9/06 and so far they have around 35 track days and probably around 10,000 street miles w/ 900/750 springs including the PA turnpike to Mid-O w/ no problems so far. Hope I can get another few years at least before a rebuild.
