You are wrong. The differences between the Cup motor and the street GT3 are only slight. The cams on the street car have variable valve timing - the cup doesn't. Otherwise the motors are essentially the same. Of course if you ran the street motor at red line all the time racing it will require a rebuild at similar intervals as the cup. But most people with the street gt3 are not running at red line or racing their cars ALL the time. A cup car is by nature a race car and therefore is more than likely used as such. Thus it will require a rebuild accordingly.
