The standard practice is to run windows in without sealing rubbers in the dry and only to fit the rubbers in the wet.

Having done quite a lot of high speed testing over quite long distances, and explored what is happening to windows as a result of the external air flows, I would run with windows in place whenever possible. It is worth paying particularly close attention to the door mirrors, and handles.

For those with window nets what are you using ? I have a Schroth setup on my 993tt. No welding needed. I'd like to not weld tabs onto the cup cage if possible

I've seen them used before...apparently quite works well. The downside is you look like a giant sperm. I find the cool shirt + helmet blower works fine to keep me cool. My ice will run out after ~60 mins in a hot enduro...would be better if I could find block ice.

also run with the lexan windows and fast system with helmet blower....re-routed the helmet blower from the drivers' side air vent and then to the fast cooler...find it much cooler to blow outside temp air into the fast cooler and not the hot cabin air.

I ran this weekend at Buttonwillow without the windows for the first time. I really liked hearing both my car and the surrounding cars. Without looking I could tell when the 2 RSR's on the track were coming up behind me.....

As for cooling, I noticed it mostly in the pits or on grid. There didn't seem to be a lot of wind coming into the cabin at speed and I never felt any buffeting. I wish I had removed them sooner....
