Check belt warning on 991.2 Cup?
Hi - I was running a new to me 991.2 last weekend at the SCCA Hoosier Super Tour event in Mid-Ohio. Things went great except that during the second race I got the aforementioned "check belt" warning. I pitted and my mechanic confirmed the belt was fine / was on. I continued and was able to finish the race paying attention to the temps, which held steady. The car didn't appear to give out any other symptoms and was running fine and fast through to the end.
I am curious if anyone else has experienced this warning and is aware of the possible reasons which could flag it? Or what would be recommended as preventative checks given the warning?
Thanks,
Simon

Check your alternator function. Pull the data out of the Cosworth and review it. Page 360 in the tech manual indicates that error occurs when the generator has an issue.

Same thing happened to me in 2 991 cup cars
And we end up changing the alternator and no more warning light.
Either way, you can finish your race weekend with that warning and nothing bad will occur.

Are there any 175 amp alternator options that are confirmed to work?
Anyone know of a company that can rebuild the 991.1 150 Amp bosch unit?
