Default 996 Cup stock muffler

Does anyone have one of these available to sell? I am in process of getting a PPI on an 05 996 that doesn’t have the stock muffler anymore and since I love driving Roebling I’m Savannah I wanted to get the decibels down to pass sound check at that track.

Beware there are two versions of the stock muffler. A 103db version and a 110db

Oh right, my mechanic told me about the 2 different ones and said I’d need the 103db version. My goal is to run at Roebling which has a 102db limit.

It has been a long time since I've been to Roebling but my recollection was that the sound mic was on the outside of the track between start finish and turn 1. If that is still the case, couldn't you just put a set of 90 degree elbows on and point them towards the inside of the track?

That is correct, for the sound station. Depending on the temperature, air density and humidity, 90 degree turns may or may not make it. Almost certainly not for the louder option.

Yes Ron Zitza is working with me to get the car setup, and he said the 103db muffler with a turndown would likely do the trick on passing sound check.
