Default 996 Cup Key to Button Conversion

I'm going to replace my keyed ignition switch (for which I have but a single key) with a starter button and ignition toggle switch in the center dash. I have the wiring schematics so that part should be straight forward, but has anyone done this already? I may have to fab a bracket for the push button starter switch I have from a 997 Cup.

Any insight appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

The street 996s have a drive block system that requires the key. I assume this is gone in the cup, but I’ve never looked myself.

Yes, it's definitely gone. Thanks for the thought, though.
