help identifying an ABS system
Guys,
I have an ABS system that came on a 997 cup that we acquired. We do not have any information on it. The head unit is a BMW part.
The wiring harness, as you can see, is custom with label tags on it.
Anyone ever see one of these setup that can help me identify it.
Thanks
Ed

Ed - I would agree with 38D. Along with the usual wheel connections there should be one connection for Yaw sensor and one for front and one for rear system pressure. There is the next version up (that I don't recall number), that has fluid pressure at every wheel. Did you google the part number to see what car it's off of? As with any abs, there are different versions of the software that dictate performance.
Since ya took it of I'm sure you have what each port is, however, if not, here they are.

It has 2 sensors that were on the brake MC. I have not verified that they connect to that loom. I do also have the yaw sensor with it.
The head unit (on top) has the BMW part number of 3451-6769162-03 which seems to go to a Z4.
Thanks

Yes, we plan on selling it, We would be open to an offer on it.
Keep in mind, we have no history on this on a car, so we can not attest to its condition. We would want to sell it as is where is.
Otherwise, we would hold on to it for a future project, like our 968 LS conversion car we are planning.
Thanks

FYI... to make work ya need to go back to base car System came off of and find out tire dia and teeth on wheel sensor and confirm you’re “close” with Setup you have. I don’t recall tolerance of where system will work, but it can withstand some difference.
