Default 996 Center Duct Install

Does anyone have a pic off a 996 Cup with the front bumper off and the center duct installed? I got my car without the duct and want to make sure I'm installing the two pieces correctly.

Thanks in advance,

Bob

In front of the center radiator. Pic 4 in the link you sent. It looks like the upper, larger piece slopes down, but I can' really tell about the lower piece.

Thanks Francesco.

You're talking the rubber part then? This is on the upper edge of my radiator, yes, but no lower....although the partslist says a big boot type duct as seen on 996 TT etc.
Well, my (oem) bumper has no protective mesh mounting frames anymore, mesh is glued in from the inside, the bumper has been repaired lots of times with some fibreglass.......going to be changed with a carbonfiber bumper soon anyway

Yes, the two rubber parts. You're right about the parts list showing a generic GT3 single piece, but the cup has an upper and a lower.

Well, a lower would not fit behind my bumper nor make much sense as the radiator is very close to the bumper (front/bottom), but if you can fit one, why not. I'm not quite sure if the radiator is really well located to the body as there are quite long distance tubes for mounting the radiator frame to the body. But it makes sense to me to have as much distance possible to the body and water temperatures are just fine so I will not change my running system

The lower is much smaller, maybe an inch or so tall.

Aha......interesting, just checked partslists from 02 to 05: big boot everywhere, what partnumbers do you have for the 2 pieces you're talking about?

Yes, the picture isn't correct. The part number is correct, it just comes with two pieces.

ob,

I'll try to get a picture of my car's center radiator pieces today or tomorrow. I have the two pieces you note installed.

But this looks exactly like the single streetstyle duct..........I can't see an upper/under different part
