Default how to add pit speed limitter to a 2003 cup?

I have a 2003 996 cup and would love a pit speed limiter. it is standard on the 2005 996 cup cars.

Default Pit Limiter

My ‘03 has it. It may be something that can just be programmed.

On mine it’s the on/off switch on what would normally be the cruise control stalk. The speed can be programmed with Modas.

^^^ mine is the same. The first time I drove the car (test drive before buying) I spent 6 minutes in fear being stuck at 40 km/h not knowing what was wrong or how to fix it haha.

You too? Fortunately it was right after watching an F1 race and it clicked after a minute or two.

It should be a switch wired to the ecu. If you can find the wiring diagram for the harness of the car’ younshould find it. I will have a look to see ifnI have it somewhere.

Unfortunately no 996 wiring diagrams on my side, but I checked the 08 997 cup one and there is a PIN on the ECU (Bosch 3.1, pin F09) for the speed limiter. Beware, the pin assignment varies from one year to the other, so I won't tr anything before getting the correct wiring diagram. (ask PM, they tend to be very helpful)

good luck.

I have 04-05 996 Cup wiring diagrams. If you want them send me an e-mail jandsaustin1@verizon.net and I'll e-mail them to you.
