Thanks in advance

John Hayworth Brakes... He's great. Great work and very reasonable. For what he charged to rebuild my GT3R calipers it was not even worth doing it yourself.

https://www.facebook.com/Hayworth-Ra...9320658812626/

Happened to find his Bio on a site, so figured I'd post.
John also has been involved in racing most of his life having grown up around the sport. After helping local racers while in grade school and high school John worked as a crew chief on Jay Hedgecock’s NASCAR Modified team before moving to a long association with Richard Petty Motorsports working on the famous 43 team and running the shop and then on to 6 years as a Brembo employee in technical sales and problem solving.

I don't believe that is correct. Stoptech is owned by Centric and they make their own seals. Zeckhausen has Centric parts the last time I talked to them. Brembo makes their own parts. The Centric parts have a history of not being quite the right size for many applications.

mercedes benz also uses brembo calipers. they have no rebuild kits and want you to use all new calipers. the seals pistons and all associated parts from stoptech were exact fits for my amg 6 piston calipers. dont see any difference in the porsche calipers other than the mounting lugs. its a simple matter of measuring piston size and seal size and cross reference the stoptech parts

Matt is correct that the Stoptech and Brembo seals are different parts. We used to sell the Stoptech parts but there are a few that we're sized a tad differently than the corresponding Brembo seal so we made the change back to Brembo.

Thank you for the referral. RacingBrake has the widest and easiest selection for Porsche calipers:

For all Porsches: https://racingbrake.com/porsche-4/

Hundreds of Porsche customers and thousands of track enthusiasts are relying on RB caliper rebuild components to keep their calipers deliver peak performance.
Not only we supply the components, we also provide rebuild service which includes hydro test on each caliper to ensure "leak free" before shipment.

The new seals and pistons from RacingBrake looked great by themselves, it wasn't until they got into John's hands that they really began to look incredible.

I elected not to have them repainted based on how good they look now and the turnaround time/cost to get them to perfect. This car is about go so I don't mind a few chips here and there. Every consumable on this car is going to see a lot of use, no sense in paying a lot more for aesthetics when the performance remains the same.... More to come later this week!
GTR calipers rebuilt with RB stainless steel pistons, seals and high temperature boots. Most GTR serious track racers do this preventive upgrade before caliper failure.

Our friendly caliper pictures can help you find the components you need quickly and positively, and save you time and confusion in communicating with your repair shops, or dealers who will only sell you the complete new calipers just like Porsche dealers.

Default John Hayworth

John Hayworth just sent back the calipers from the 996 cup car. I should have taken a BEFORE photo because three were red and one was yellow and they all were badly beaten up. For a 2002 they all should have been yellow. The good news is that the internals were mostly good. The great news is that they now are the best looking bit on the car! Beauty shot from John below.
