Do you have payment plans available? Haha
Excellent car from a truly great guy. Joe has maintained this car fastidiously and with an open checkbook. Probably the secret checkbook his wife doesn't know about.... Buy with confidence as Joe is a stand up guy. Wish I could put this in my garage.....

I can vouch that this is a meticulously kept car. I bought it in early 2013 and used it for a few Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy rounds in 2013. It won the last round at Sonoma and placed second in the previous round in the Gold class. Joe purchased the car from me in early 2014 after I bought a 997.2.
It was a pristine car when I purchased it through Spencer *** at Speedsport with a fresh engine rebuilt by Autometrics (and subsequently dyno'd and sealed at PMNA). TRG serviced and maintained the car while I owned it. I wanted a 997.1 that was mint with no issues, as did Joe, so it's been kept up by a few owners that are a bit OCD.
GLWS!

Mark, Thanks for the endorsement and sharing some of the history. I see you sold the 12 Cup? You taking a break from racing?

My second daughter was just born in February this year, so with 2 girls under 2, we have our hands a little full and not so much time for racing.
I did a few one-off Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy events in Bob Faieta's 991.1 last year and just one Pirelli Cup event at Sonoma earlier this year (got a 2nd and a win in the car). I'll actually be competing in the Sonoma round of the IMSA GT3 Challenge in the car the weekend after next as a one-off. Kelly-Moss will be running the car. Sticking close to home makes it viable.
Anyway, good luck with your new 991! They are a completely different car to drive. 997=raw and lots of feedback. you take the car by the scruff of the neck and have your way with it. 991=like driving a sofa in terms of feedback. respect the car and let the engineers do the work for you; if you try to force it outside its comfort zone, the car will bite back hard. However, the plusses for 991 platform far outweigh the minuses. Definitely a huge step up in terms of being a proper race car.
Either way, enjoy it and good luck selling your 997!!
Cheers,
Mark
