Default My first Porsche (2016 Cayman GTS) :-) I think I’m in love

After years of driving SUVs (we have 5 teens!) I needed something fun.

Found a used 2016 Cayman GTS locally that I fell in love with. 7k miles and pristine. No mods other than window tint and a built in Valentine One.

I was torn between the 16 and the newer 718s, but once I heard the sport exhaust on this GTS I was hooked!

And man I love the GTS interior (and that Carmine red dial!)

anything i should know / be aware of / immediately mod 😝 on the car? What do you guys think?

I’m excited to be here and look forward to finding a local PCA enthusiast group for my first drive!

Congrats - great looking car! Is the suspension PASM or X73? How about PTV (torque vectoring/limited slip)?
First mod you want to do is swap the orange side marker for a clear one. It's an easy fix - you can do it yourself in five minutes.

Difficult to beat that atmospheric engine sound. Congrats!

Thanks! It’s PASM with torque vectoring. I’ll go look at those side marker swaps now. Definitely quick and easy!

My "new" '14 S wheel has those God Awful 'thumb' shifters, but it does have controllers for phone & what is displayed in the right gauge. I have seen paddle shift wheels with those controls, but how do you control them on your car?
Thanx,

Nice... a sweet spot for the Cayman. Just shy of GT4 territory. Do join PCA and learn from members. Try a novice track day if so inclined, you might get hooked.

Absolutely gorgeous example. Love the deviated stitching.

I bought a 2016 GTS last year, and it's just an excellent drivers car. The only real gripe I have with it, is that Porsche REALLY nerfed the car with the tall gearing they put in it. I'd love to be able to change the gearing as easily as you can when setting up a car on Gran Turismo Sport. ;-) Aside from that, it's just an amazingly well balanced car. Enjoy!!!

Quite nice and very tasteful. Spec'd with all the right aesthetic options to include the GTS interior package, red belts and tach, 18 way seats, and carbon fiber trim. You're spoiled now!!
