Default LCA installation question

Quick question guys. I'm getting a quote on installing RSS lower control arms and it seems a little high. The shop says it will take 10 hours labor (@ $95/hr), which seems like a lot. Note, this is not including alignment as that is being quoted separately. I just don't know enough to know what's right.

Any help appreciated. I also posted in 996 Turbo forum since I have a c4s.

Thanks

Not sure on the C42. Definitely high. On my C2, I did it in about 2 hours per side (including going out an getting pickle forks!). Shouldn't be any worse on the C4 (a shop quoted my rears at 2 hours in total).

10 hours?? Wow, need to start charging more!! There are tools available to seperate the ball joint in seconds that don't involve a pickle fork....

The shop noted above that quoted 2 hours for the rears is fair. If you are doing it in your garage on your back with jackstands 2 hours a side is certainly respectable.

Cheers

Since this work is on a 996, it means that the bolts and everything will untouched for many years. Murphy's law says expect a few problems. I think you are doing all 4 corners of the car and doing it in one hour per corner is fast and no problems. Just to pick up a work ticket, get the car, put a car on the lift and remove all wheels and put all wheels back on and return the car to the parking lot takes an hour. Ten hours sounds a a little heavy but only an hour or two. You have to pay for the waiting time with penatrating fluid.

That is high. I am having GT3 RS LCAs (fronts), 4 upgraded springs, front camber plates, CB and alignment for 10 hours shop labor.

I just bought front alca's from Elephant racing.
My Porsche dealer quoted $135.00 to install and $195.00 to align.
I showed them to the mechanic and he said they were going to be easy to install.
Heres a pic.
