Post wastegate upgrade

I am upgradeing the exhaust,turbo and intercooler on my 86 930 to the GHL,kokelin and K-29 set up does anyone have any suggestions on what size or type wastegate to get ? I was looking at the tial but was not quite sure which size i would need.

46mm TIAL is my recommendation. Forget the K29 and go with a custom made Garrett. They are far more efficient and more powerfull.

What will be your idea of a Garret Turbo ? T-66 ?

T-66 is too big. 62-1 range with a custom made split turbine and a 360-bullet bearing or Ball bearing if you prefer.

Well i allready have a brand new K-29, any idea about the cost to trade mine in for this upgrade ?

I can't help you there. We stopped selling KKK units many years ago. The Stage III HR Garrett 360 Bullet turbo is $1600.

Not to take anything away from Derrek here... but you might give Steve Kaspar at imagineauto.com a call, like Michael suggested. He's done some pretty impressive things with 930's and I would bet there aren't many folks out there with his experience on 930's...

No financial interest in recommending anyone here...

I would suggest the stock one. They work fine and are rebuildable. ImagineAuto can get the parts to rebuild them.

hey thanks for all the advise, I just purchased a new tial 46 mm with a 1.0 bar spring, got it for $470.oo on ebay brand new. Now i can put the package together with the exhaust and see where it goes.
