Post nitrous injection on a 964

So I've heard mixed things about this topic. Some claim that NOS can't be used on an air cooled car (because of heat problems) while others seem to think as long as you keep the air/fuel mixture right then you'll be happy as a clam. What I'd like to know is did anyone do this or has anyone seen it done?

Boris;

I have used direct port NOS with both type 1 & 2, Volkswagen engines. I trashed many engines and quite a few parts. The bottom line is that the thermal dynamics of our air cooled engines can not handle the stress, period. If it is a weekend drag car, yes, rebuild it every week. The studs cannot provide enough clamping force to contain the movement that will occur.

If you want more HP, the cheaper route would be to build or get a turbo'd car, install a supercharger.
