Once again all the experts crawl out for there 2p worth, nice one! Rule of thumb, if it's worth more scrap than do what you like, if it's not then I'm syre all the purist's will buy it off you as they obviously have a say in what you should do to your car.

Well, I have done the conversion on my vw bus, and I like it a whole bunch. You see, I cut out the cab floor and mounted it mid-engine, it is great for handling, and it makes a nice conversation piece. It also provides excellent heat for the interior, and you can cook scrambled eggs and bacon on the air cleaner. There are two drawbacks though... One: It is totally in the way when you try to put the keg in. Have you ever had to dead-lift a keg to the back hatch of a bus? It s*cks. Two: when you blow away 930's people get angry. Thanks for the laugh keep the chevys where they are suposed to be: In the cab floor of a bus, or in some "mullets" camaro.

I have to agree with Lunchbox that statistically speaking, there might be a correlation between Chevy V8 adoration and haircut. But it's still a good potential question to subject to empirical testing. Does anyone know of good surveys out there?
WARNING:
2. CamaroMullet: The CamaroMullet used to have full reign over the mullet brethren, but that was back in the 70's and 80's. This species has fallen from grace since, but can still be seen enjoying NASCAR events and shopping at Kragen, or up in the attic cooking up crank. Distinguishing features include: a molester mustache (peach fuzzy), tight-fitting acid wash jeans, and an ever-present key ring hanging from the belt loop.
Feel the mulletude emanating through your computer screen from this rare pic.
It is not recommended you confront the CamaroMullet, for they are very aggressive and cannot be hurt (this might be due to the frequent use of methamphetamines, angel dust, etc.).
Mulletude: 10
Aggressiveness: 10
Hobbies: primering cars, bar fights, picking scabs, losing teeth.
Sightings: Kragen, Grand Auto, working on a Camaro on their front lawn.
Favorite Band: AC DC
Source: www.mulletsgalore.com - the definitive source on mullet sightings, and they seem to know more about mullets than anyone on the planet.
V8's in FEWC Porsche cars are ok I guess. I wouldn't toss one in a 911, just cause the car is so nice already. Tossing one into a 911 would be kind of like having a really nice girlfriend and insisting she get liposuction and her teeth capped. What's the point? She's great already!

I'm thinking about installing about 16 turbo's where my passanger seat used to be and and 16 SC's under the driver's seat, you know, just to balance things out. Talk about hearing a spool up !!

Good to hear from you again Adie. Christer, pardon the limitations of my sheep lore. Glad you're here to fill in the blanks. Silver Bullet, that US made Autometer guage installed in such a finely made German auto is an affront to purists everywhere. Additionally it will completely upset the balance of the car. Please replace it with a suitable european guage with the proper pedigree as quickly as possible to restore the "proper" balance and heritage to your car. Please also update your tag line so the purists will not have to continue to hold their noses.

Yeah! been busy in the garage, have made myself a tube framed 930 with SBC +40 Omega's, C&A rods, TH350 manual valve chest, trick shifter, 3500 rpm stall convertor, running a 9inch with strange compenents. I'll try and get some propper pics, reading 496bhp before it climbed out of the rollers, still another 1500rpm to go, initial tests are 11.2 half passes just to see how the car handles. All in all I've been busy, got the job in Toronto, going over in two weeks to look for a nice place to rent, (i.e. 5 car garage studio flat should do the trick), I'm bringing the 924 with me as my brother-in-law works in the RAF and can fly the car for less than £100. So I should be settled in for christmas, do the season snowboarding and ready for racing in teh spring, can't wait. Sorry everybody else as this is compleatly off topic.

Don't worry silverbullet. Everyone knows 928=mullet. Purist my butt. Autometer is the mad sh*t. How much bench racing hp does the k&n give the 928? Ahhh. Enough sh*t-talking for the evening.

928 owners aren't worshipping US V8's, so they usually don't have mullets. The ones I've seen typically have primped pleated pants and deck shoes...
Adie: Where are you going to get one of those 5 car garage studio flats in Toronto? Better bring a construction crew and a cool million cause they're 'rare'. You might be better off just renting a full commercial garage.
Anyways, glad to hear you got the job, and good luck there! It's a great town.
