Has anybody performed a 993tt transplant into a narrow body 2wd? I am interested in discussing either on or offline. Two local wrench buddies swear it won't work but neither is that specific why. I don't want to learn why the hard way and am only focused on the factory turbo setup.
Thanks, Chuck

993 Twin Turbo motors can be put into pretty much anything. Henry Luft at B & H Motorsports in Kirkland, Washington has put one into a narrow body 911, a 77 911S I believe, and he is preparing to put one into a 74 Carrera soon. The biggest challenges are intercooler clearances, a suitable tail must be used, and exhaust.

Thanks Randy. Tail/intercooler is no problem. I wonder about the stock size muffler clearance in narrow body rear fenders. I think this is what my buddies suspect will not work in a narrow body.
