CD Conversion
Have an '87 930 with B&B headers, Garretson, 1 bar boost spring, dual 4" tip exhaust. Looking to replace the CD unit. Have done some homework, but want to get some recommendations from those who have converted.

Just my opinion, but I think you'd be very pleased with the improved smoothness and runing provided by an MSD 6AL and matching High-Vibration Blaster coil.
These really work well in these applications.

I put the MSD-6AL on my '83 944 a few months ago, and I could tell an immediate increase in acceleration, and some "added" top end. I used the MSD-6AL with the Blaster SS coil. Also, get bigger wires to handle the bigger spark. Good luck.

I like the MDS 6AL because it helps the engine run smoother, better and not to mention that if you don't have or it doesn't work, a rev limiter that you can adjust to your liking, plus additional add ons like a shift light and a boost retard add on. Lots of options!
