Post 996TT fuel pump flow rate needed

Just got a 996TT fuel pump installed on my car and was wondering what flow rate it supports. I know stock 996TT puts out 400hp, but I've heard of kits putting out 600hp without touching the fuel pump? Is it safe to assume that it supports up to 600hp then? Anyone know the litre per hour rating?

Part number of the pump I got is #996 620 180 00

TIA

ok,

Ill bite

a fuel pump does not put out 400hp.

a fuel pump may put out X gallons of fuel at X pounds of pressure

the fuel you engine needs is easy to determine, after that you can figure out the size fuel pump you need..

thanks cjv, that was just what I was looking for.

560rwhp? Don't you mean 560awhp? 996TT are AWD aren't they?

Thanks Tim, I am aware that fuel pumps are flow rated and not power rated. However, based on flow rate and assuming a reasonable range of AFR at which the volume of fuel is to be burnt, it can be calculated quite accurately how much HP the fuel pump will support - assuming no other line, pressure, or injector bottlenecks
