You cannot accurate extrapalte flywheel HP from a chassis dyno no matter what. You can draw a pretty accurate difference if you dyno the car, make the mods and dyno it again on the same dyno. The best you can do is compare wheel HP to wheel HP and it is probably safe to assume that 10 additional wheel HP is 10 flywheel HP. What was the wheel HP on the engine?

Every car that we have dyno'd has come up with the HP numbers (factory hp numbers) that it was supposed to have. I hear what your saying and I don't disagree but, the numbers I see have been pretty accurate.

Stop by and check it out one day

As a reference, FIORANO RACING in Toronto did a power kit last year on a 996 3.4 motor producing 355 HP @ the crank. I was told the car went to a Mosport event and was an absolute bullit. Call Giovanni @ 416-741-1696 or on his cel 647-274-1696 if you need more details on the install.

i think if you have an early 996 that has passed the 60K mark without any drama than you've got yourself a good engine. mine has 96K on it. got it at 35K, i supercharged it at 78K. just had a compression and leak down test. 5~6% loss. everything looks OK. it would be a good idea to get a compression/leak down test before any serious mod.

355HP is quite a nice gain.... +55HP. before the supercharger, i did headers, exhaust, intake, flash, LWFW and i netted 25~30WHP. does the powerkit include cams and throttle body?

what drivetrain loss numbers did you use? some tuners like to hype up claims by using a 17% loss factor. the loss factor is more like 13%
