I just got my GT3 seats with factory sub mounts. I am curious looking at them if it is better advised to with a single or dual sub straps? Opinions? Advantages or disadtanges?

The Scroth harness supplied in the Club Sport package by Porsche uses the dual strap anti submarine straps. I like them, more comfortable than the single and less likely to hurt if you need the restraint.

6 point..your nuts will thank you.
on a semi related note...did anyone get a copy of some major report (FIA i think) into 2" vs 3" lap belts? was there conclusive evidence vs one over the other?

Just ordered Y-type 2-pt subs today. Didn't go the Schroth route. I have custom belts made by Crow enterprises. They have 3" wraparound pull-down shoulder harnesses with a 3" snap-in camlock pull-up belt. Both have speedtabs on them (DE instructors and riders will thank me for this). I have Brey-Krause snap-in mounts so I don't have to leave the lapbelts in all the time. Sub straps are 2".

Not sure about the comparative tests you refer to but the FIA has approved the 2" Schroth lap belts with 3" shoulder belts. I believe that has to mean that they have been tested (FIA has exhaustive procedures) and found satisfactory. The Schroth people say the smaller belts are actually superior to the wider ones, as the narrower belt can be pulled tighter against your body...meaning that you don't fly as far on impact before hitting the webbing.

As I remeber the FIA tests, they saw less of a difference with 2" vs. 3" choulder blelts as they did on a 2" vs. 3" lap belt. They made a note about now recommending 2" lap belts without pads.
