H5 to H4 headlight conversion...
Anybody ever do a H5 to H4 headlight conversion? When I had my little incident at VIR, I broke the right headlight. It's cheaper to buy two H4's than one H5. Pelican had an adapter, but I'll be damned if I can figure it out.
I asked them and they couldn't tell me, other than it plugged in...
Anybody ever use one of these?

I did the same thing on my 94 RSAmerica.
I bought the adapters from AJUSA:

They're not really adapters, just new plugs.
You simply have to cut the old plugs off (leave an inch or so of wire behind the old plug you remove in case you ever want to put/splice the H5's back) and solder the wires to the new plugs/adapters. The kit from AJUSA didn't require soldering, just crimp the wires to the new adapter...not sure from your pic if you have to solder or not.
The only thing is to keep track of which wire goes where. Simple to do with a voltmeter and/or some masking tape and a pen.
Once you change to H4's, the seperate lens assembly allows you to install H4 plastic racing lenses (clear or yellow, smooth or ridged)....:

Very nice, dont' have to worry about breaking another H4 lens and replacing it.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but the back side of each terminal is spring loaded. You push on them and the part you see pops up. Insert your stripped wire in there and release the spring. I used dielectric grease here. Then the spring loaded side plugs onto the headlight.
As Lewis mentioned, I left a little bit of the old wire out of the connector just in case....
The plastic lenses are a good idea.
