Default Power Brake Differential????

Question has been posted on the 996 forum too.

Does anybody know what the power brake differential is? I have a 99 C2 with the options of LSD, TC, power brake differential. I know how the LSD and the TC work but not this power brake diff. The reason I am asking is that I believe that my pressure plates on the LSD are worn but for a strange reason the diff. still locks. My observations:
When both rear wheels are lifted you can spin (by hand) the one wheel without the other one spinning making me to believe that the pressure plates are worn. Now if you lift only one of the rear wheels and you put it in gear the first thing that happens is for the TC trying to brake the spinning wheel which is logical. Now if you disengage the TC from the switch and you put it in gear again the lifted wheel starts spinning at idle, the moment you apply lightly the accelerator (around 900 rpm) the diff. locks and the other wheel is trying to move. That makes no sense to me. Does anybody know how this diff. is working?

Thanks
Nick
