Default Is there DIY for 6-point harness install?

Hi

Wanting to install 6-point harnesses in my '96 993TT. I already have a roll bar installed, and am looking for DIY instructions for the 6-point harnesses. Anyone know if/where this might be posted?

Thanks

Hey Jumpin' Joe, I have some Brey Krause lap belt mount clips available. Use these and you can still retain your stock seatbelt setup and avoid drilling holes. BK sells them for $64.95 per set. I will sell you 2 sets (for both seats) for $50 plus shipping. PM me if interested.

Jumpin'
Did you have specific questions? If you have a bar, the shoulder harnesses go around that (assuming you have seat back cut outs or you will be using an H-strap. The crotch belts that I have seen are mounted to a bracket that is attached by drilling through the floor and as K964 said the lap belts are attached to the seatbelt brackets.

I guess I can be more specific. The main question I have is how to mount the sub-belts on a 6-point harness? I know how a 5-pointer is done, but have never done a 6-point harness.

I'm about to do the same in a 968 and need to know if there is a recognised method of attatching the anti sub straps. Should i just drill holes in the floor and mount them there?

cheers

Del.
