Default best 915 for racing? I need one.

Hi,

I cracked the case on my 915 trans this weekend. What is the best year to use and why.

Oh, and does anyone have one. I am not that concered with internal condition because I have parts. The bellhousing cracked on mine.

Ed:

Use a 915 from a late SC or Carrera. These are all aluminum.

Add the WEVO bearing retainer plates, as well.

What is the casting number that the alluminum case starts with.

Any 915/61, /62 or newer will be fine for your applications
