I'm selling a Brand New Das Schild Front Hood Protector for all the 997 series cars. I just purchased a 2nd 997.1 car last week and had bought this to use on that vehicle, but it turned out the owner already had one installed, so I'm selling the brand new one I just bought - price is $185 shipped and I haven't even opened the box it arrived in yet so it's just like it comes from the company (www.p1speed.com). Their price is $200 plus $18.85 shipping for $218.85 and I'm selling mine for $185 shipped - a 15.5% discount - they're also getting ready to implement a price increase on this product.

For those of you not familiar with it, it's an under-hood liner that has an ingenious fastening system with plastic pins that secure it using holes that are already present in the front trunk cross-bracing. The purpose of it is to reinforce the lightweight aluminum hood so that if you accidentally put something in the front trunk compartment that's too tall and then close the lid, it prevents that object from denting or creasing the hood which can also crack the paint resulting in a very expensive "uh-oh".

I put one of these on my silver C2S about a year ago and liked it so much for the peace of mind that was going to add one to my wife's recent black C2S acquisition, but as I mentioned, the previous owner beat me to it. The photo is of the one in my silver car as it shows up better than against the black paint of my wifes car - the company website is here and you can verify my pricing as well - http://www.p1speed.com/categories/in...rotection.html

Thanks.

Das Schild is most likely sold. I'll update the post if something changes and close the thread once payment is received tonight. Thanks.
