Default Tech Art AS320 320 mm 993/996 Steering Wheel

Category: Interior
Price (no $ sign please): $499
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (select ONLY those which apply): 986, 993, 996
Location (Region): West
Item Condition: Used

Here is the complication, I have yet to find a way to ship it, legally. The air bag is technically an explosive. So, $499, and I will deliver it to LA or San Francisco Bay Area. 250 miles is about all I am willing to drive, and I will want reimbursement for my gas....my car gets 40 mpg so it won't be that bad. If this doesn't work, it goes back into the storage unit until the end of time.

I had this wheel on my 2004 GT3 for a while: It came out of a 993 and appears to me to be covered in real leather. When installed, it doesn't set off air bag alert light on the dash, on either the 993 of my 2004 GT3. I didn't put leather cleaner/polisher on it yet...it is fresh out of the car. There are no rips or tears or scratches on the wheel or air bag.

Why sell this gem? I have a very long back...I am 6'2" and my inseam is about 30", so you can see I am a "grunt legger" as we used to say. As a result of my disproportionately short legs, and long back, the top of the wheel partially obscured the top gauges. So I went back to stock.

Being the sport that I am, I will cover the Pay pal fee. You pay for my Prius gas round trip.If you are contemplating this extraordinary wheel, I can take more pics.

DISCLOSURE: I do have a buyer in NC, and am holding the wheel for him until 10 May, BUT, we can't figure out a way to legally ship the air bag to him. I am not willing to get into a beef with the ATF, or?, by illegally shipping an air bag. These are tenuous times.

If you have a shorter back and or larger thighs, and you want a quicker egress from the car, this wheel is for you.

I wish it was Metropol Blue. So hard to find interior stuff in that color. GLWS

Blue/Black...whose counting. PM me for a special price...if you will consider black and dye it to Metropol Blue.

Now at $399 + freight. Pay Pal accepted, no ex US shipments. Too much hassle.

I have a wheel just like this and love it. You're giving it away at this asking price!

Note this will work on 986 Boxsters too.

Default Shipping Legally....

Is impossible, and if it could be by a Dangerous Goods shipper, the cost would be in the neighborhood of $300 to the East Coast, so I am changing my marketing approach:

$499 or best offer, no shipping, I deliver for RT gas to SF or LA...car runs on 87 octane and gets 40 mpg, so gas won't be much.

Just had an airbag shipped from Suncoast. An extra $50 via FedEx ground. Just had to be labeled Hazardous. Policy is on their site.

I have more pics putting up later today.....it may be sold, BUT, transportation with an air bag is a bitch, nearly impossible unless you are a Parts dealer such as Suncaost...
