Don't drive my PGTS in Sport Plus consistently, so do not know MPG. MY '15 991 TTS got about 5 MPG in Sport Plus on the track, so I would say that 12 MPG on the road for the much heavier PTTS is not bad. Sport Plus is far too harsh in stop and go traffic for me.
I would agree that Sport Plus can be harsh. I NEVER use Sport Plus when driving my wife's Boxster. But on my PTTS, I like it for driving around town. The exhaust sounds epic, I like the way the PDK shifts, and the car gets really low. I agree the suspension is pretty firm in sport plus, but I just love the way it looks when it's hunkered down. My understanding is that you can't have it both ways; if you want the car to be at its lowest setting, then it also has to be at its firmest; no way to control those two factors independently. Correct me if I'm wrong. For highway driving, I drive in normal mode. Sport Plus is too stiff for he highway for me.
Yes, it is VERY crazy that such car can do that, but, these are the spec !
I know, there are some reasons that it is hard to believe when it come from the VW group and it is about Diesel, but, yes, 5.7 l/100km and this is 41.26 MPG
