Another thing to keep in mind is brakes (I'm not mentioning tires because these are a consumable and it would be reasonable to put appropriate tires on the car). Tesla P100D weighs as much as a Cayenne Turbo and yet has much less brake capacity. Cayenne Turbo cooks brakes to failure in less than 8 minutes at most tracks when driven well, so Tesla has no chance. Regenerative braking would not help because it disengages when battery gets hot.
Anyway, I would not hold any of that against Tesla - the car is made for a different purpose.

Just as an update, a couple of months after this run, an Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio ran the same track in 7:32. Different market segment, but still a four-door sedan. Porsche, your move. Turbo S, anyone?
