Radar detectors

Three Wheelin'
I had the new Passport 9500ix installed hardwired into the car so went on and off with the car starting mounted on top of windshield, left of the rear view mirror no issues (and already saved my bacon a few times)!

I have the insulated thermal glass on my car too, and I have the Valentine One hardwired BUT the freaking thing does not pickup anything at the distance, it beeps when the cops already clocked me.
Where in the hell are those cutouts? I have tried looking everywhere and I cant find them (maybe the light angle), do you think that a radar detector should clear that space?
Did the radar work for you?
Let me know.

Hey Tom, aren't you supposed to be fixing people's veins and stuff? You sure have time in your life to be helping people out, nice.

I'm curious what you guys are paying for the 9500ix installed. I had one in my M5 but lately I've just been driving like an old man in a Buick and haven't had a need to put one in the Panamera. I personally have always preferred the Escort brand to the Valentine, but they both perform about the same. The warnings are a bit different and it's kind of what you get used to. The Escort products are a lot smaller than the V1, which seems to be stuck back in the 70's, size-wise.
These days I travel unprotected, with just my meager wits to keep me out of harm's way. And also I try to not speed any faster than the rest of the bozos around me. Although driving a big blue Porsche makes it difficult to blend in with the crowd...

cut out on each side of rear view mirror, obvious on my car
I think the thermal windows will block most of rear V-1 detection would recommend hard wired
Have alot of "free time" between surgery cases cause hospital staff slow.....
cost me $800 at dealer to have detector hard wired. best money I ever spent
cant beat the detection of these things!
