It's on the Porsche website.

Do you guys think that the dimension of the taillights are the same? If so, can do plug and play to change for the pre-facelift models?

It is a very typical Porsche uplift. Nothing major but enough to notice in a small manner.

Didn't think it was possible to make the rear look worse but they appear to have pulled it off. Great car from the drivers seat but man do they need the Sport Turismo.

i think the nearly mono red colour of the tail lights also make them look smaller - you can get a red wrap for the Gen1 for about $15 from suncoast.

:-) The rear is very VW. The pushed-in line in the rear bumper reminds Scirocco as well do the lamps (Scirocco, Golf, Touareg...). The 970.1 was a Porsche product, but with the 970.2 the VW guys have showed who's the new boss. What's the need for that?

+1

I have prepared a full comparison of the 970.1 and 970.2 tech specs:

Thanks for your reply. Red wrap is a good idea. But I also like the large split oval shape for the new taillights. Hopefully it is the same dimension then the option to change is available.

I think the important thing that's apparently slid by many people is that the S and 4S will now come with a twin turbo V6 instead of the lovely V8. The GTS and turbo variants will still get the V8 though.

That's the reason I bought the S over the standard car: the fabulous engine.

Thanks to Mr. Herne for his very comprehensive chart.
