Default Thinking about getting the wood trim interior...

My car has the black interior with the standard shiny black plastic trim. Nothing wrong with it, but it is plastic. I'm thinking about getting the burr walnut trim package (about $1000) and it shouldn't be difficult to pop off the old parts and put on the new. Anyone done this yet? Any of you folks with the wood trim interior have any thoughts as to the quality of it? It looks nice in the pictures, and being a Porsche I'm sure the finish is perfect.

Thanks,
Michael

I have the walnut, looks good to me. If you look at the New 4S thread, there are some pictures.

I have the walnut as well with a black interior and it looks great. I just wish it were more wood-like and not so heavily covered with clear plastic or whatever the finish is. It could be plastic for all you can tell when you touch it.

I think the brushed aluminum trim in my gts looks great against the black leather.

I really prefer the anthracite birch with black and I am loving the tineo with Luxor or cognac!

I was thinking about this more last night, and maybe that anthracite would look better with black than the brown burr.

Local dealer had black with anthracite birch including the steering wheel. Looked awesome. It would be my pic, but the walnut looks good as well. I am looking at a CPO 2012 with black and walnut and it is nice and not a deal breaker for me. There is a thread over on 6 speed online discussing changing out trim!
